BUTCH WAX & THE HOLLYWOODS

Butch Wax & The Hollywoods celebrate their 23rd year together in 2008 with one of the hottest shows around!  The 10 piece band from St. Louis features 2 female singers, horns, and a rhythm section that has been together for 23 years.  Butch Wax & The Hollywoods have been main stage performers during most of those 23 years sharing the stage with artists like Johnny Rivers, Chuck Berry, Johnnie Johnson, The Kentucky Headhunters, Lou Rawls, The Association, The Rascals, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, The Lettermen, The Guess Who, and countless others.  The band also wrote, recorded, and produced several tracks with Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Johnnie Johnson on his last album that included performances with Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Hornsby, Johnny Rivers, and John Sebastian.

Pat Liston of Mama’s Pride who worked with Butch Wax in the early 90’s is back doing several engagements with the band in 2008.  Pat was voted St. Louis Best Male Vocalist 2007 by the RFT Readers Poll.   Pat is an incredible singer, songwriter, and performer and has toured the country with some of the biggest names in music.  During his Motown/R&B set with Butch Wax, Pat tears it up on songs like Higher and Higher, Twistin the Night Away, Sugar Pie Honey Bunch, Stand By Me, Rainy Night in Georgia and several others.
